Programs
Microsoft has developed
Mobile versions of several of their familiar programs that
most people use all the time. These programs can be used in
your mobile devices to give you access to your desktop
computer and/or customers while you are out of the office.
They will keep you connected and synchronized no matter
where you are. Microsoft has created the following Mobile
programs:
Microsoft Office Mobile – these programs give you access to
three of the most used applications from Office.
Excel Mobile – this software program allows you to view,
create, and edit spreadsheets even when you are not at the
office. It has a new Chart Wizard that allows you to make
and view charts on the go. You can do this with ones you
have designed on your desktop easily. You have full access
to all your desktop created documents giving you up-to-date
information any time.
PowerPoint Mobile –
you will have the ability to take your presentations with
you. You cannot make changes to them on the road, but this
can be done from the desktop and emailed to your mobile
device quickly and easily. You will also have the ability to
link URLs into your presentations.
Word Mobile –
this is a powerful program that can be used to
create several different documents. It includes spellcheck,
bulleted lists, Find and Replace commands, text formatting,
and several more. It also for the first time supports
tables. All of these can be synchronized with your PC, sent
as attachments, or sent to associates or clients from any
location.
Outlook Mobile –
this software offers a messaging experience
that is vastly superior to any available before. You will
have all the tools available in Microsoft Outlook and the
support for all the Office Mobile programs allowing you to
be more productive when you are out of the office. This
program keeps you up-to-date with the possibilities of
synchronizing all of your data at all times. It has Direct
Push technology with the new Messaging and Security Feature
pack, available on most of the newer devices. This feature
means you will never wait for e-mail; messages are sent and
received in seconds. It also includes Over-the-air
synchronization that allows your device and your PC to keep
connected and in sync, while online or offline.
Pocket MSN –
with this application you will have access to
all of the popular MSN features while on the go. Some of
these are:
MSN Hotmail - this is a great email program that you can
use from any place. You will have the ability to send and
receive emails in moments. You can also have it setup to
alert you when new messages arrive, preventing you from ever
missing any.
MSN Messenger – this is a program that allows real-time
messaging to co-workers, clients, family, and friends. It
also has the feature of sharing documents and other media
files.
Mobile Web Content – gives you access to websites such as
MSN Money, which allows you to following the market in
real-time. You can also access others including news,
weather, entertainment, and sports.
Internet Explorer Mobile –
this software puts the Internet
at your fingertips in any location. You will have the
possibilities of surfing the net and downloading pages to
view even while you are offline. It has the option to
optimize your pages for faster viewing. You can get pages
with several graphics when you have a fast connection or
choose to have text-only if you are on a slower connection.
It has includes a one-column setting you can pick for easier
surfing on your device.
You will find many uses for these programs on your mobile
devices. The features they give you will improve your
ability to stay up-to-date with all your contacts. The
