Bios Errors
Description – BIOS stands for Basic Input/Output System. This built-in software that is contained on an entirely separate chip to that of the main computer is essential for the most basic running of your computer. It is used to determine settings for, and to access, the keyboard, monitor, mouse, CPU, and many other features of the PC. It also determines the main boot process of your computer to ensure that you can log on to your PC. BIOS is a standard that is used by virtually all motherboard and PC manufacturers. However, once a manufacturer purchases a license for the BIOS they need to customize the BIOS to match their own hardware. The end result is that there are many different varieties and types of BIOS available and each is typically updated on a regular basis. Having the incorrect BIOS installed on your machine may not prevent its use but it may be detriment to some of the features and functionality that should be available to users. Associated Errors – When BIOS errors occur it is almost guaranteed that you will not be able to gain access to your system. This is because without fully functioning BIOS the computer can not boot up the operating system – you may not even have access to any of the BIOS settings. Typically, any errors within the BIOS are discovered by a process known as POST (Power On Self Test) and identified by beeps that your computer emits when you first turn it on. These unique beep codes signify exactly what the error is and using these codes it is usually possible to remedy the problem. Recommended Solution – First you will need to determine the BIOS version you are using. This can be ascertained by contacting the manufacturer of your PC or looking at the manufacturer website. The beeps you hear will correspond to a specific problem which, again, can be determined by speaking to the manufacturer or referencing their website. The desired action should also be given. Alternatively you can attempt to download a “clean” copy of the BIOS for your system and insert the disk containing this BIOS before switching on your computer and booting from the disk. This will “flash” the BIOS and update it to full working order in most cases.

I love RegCure. I was telling my sister
in law, how, since I downloaded your program, I have had little to no
problems with my computer. Everyday, about six times a day I used to receive
a message that said Virtual Memory is too Low. Now it's fine and my
computer runs faster too. Cyril S.
