What to do when your computer freezes or hangs
Description Among the most common and irritating of computer errors is when all software and the operating system freezes. Your cursor will become unresponsive and it is not possible to continue working or using your computer at all. If this happens as a one off occurrence then the best track is to restart the computer and remember to save or backup work more often. Anything that you have been working on that hasn't been manually or automatically saved will be lost when you restart your computer but with a complete system freeze there is no way to recover. Virtually any component, application, or file could cause system freezes. An overheated processor, obsolete driver files, software conflicts, and corrupt files are just some of the reasons it could be happening to you. If it has been a regular occurrence then you should try to determine whether there is a common factor each time it happens. If your computer freezes whenever you try to use a certain application or open a specific file then there is a problem with that object, or related to that object. Associated Errors When a computer freezes fully it becomes unusable. The cursor will not respond to mouse movement or keyboard input. The screen will remain exactly as it was when it first froze and even keyboard lights, such as the number lock button, will not light up and switch off. Recommended Solution The first step to recovery when your computer freezes, is the restart. In one-off cases this will resolve the problem quickly and painlessly. It will force your system to close all processes and applications and to restart any necessary ones when you restart your computer. It may sound too simple a solution to work but it often does do the trick. If you have noticed your computer freezes when accessing a specific application then you should ensure that you have all the latest patches, fixes, and downloads for that software. These are typically found on the publisher's or the vendor's site. Also download and install the latest patches for your Operating System to ensure that this is up to date. Update all your drivers to the latest versions. If you added any hardware that may be causing this problem first of all check the device manager for any devices that have warning indications next to them. Then remove that hardware and ensure that it is compatible with your setup. Check that your processor is not overheating either by checking your BIOS or by opening your PC to check everything is working. Ensure that nothing is blocking the air vents on your computer otherwise the hot air is not being allowed to exit the PC. The final manual method is to completely erase your operating system and reinstall it. Always create a backup before you do this otherwise you may lose substantial portions of work or programs. Regular computer freezes that have not been fixed by any other method can point to a serious problem with the Operating System, which can be resolved by erasing and reinstalling.

I love RegCure. I was telling my sister
in law, how, since I downloaded your program, I have had little to no
problems with my computer. Everyday, about six times a day I used to receive
a message that said Virtual Memory is too Low. Now it's fine and my
computer runs faster too. Cyril S.
