How to fix DirectX related incompatibility errors
Description DirectX is essentially a collection of platform independent DLLs and APIs. It is used by developers to create multimedia files and components that can be viewed by anyone on any PC. DirectX gives game creators and other media developers the opportunity to work with low level libraries giving them the capability to create high end graphics, audio, video and other media features. There are basically seven components to the DirectX API – DirectDraw, Direct3D, DirectSound, DirectSound3D, DirectMusic, DirectPlay, and DirectInput. While each of these components can work individually of one another they are most commonly deployed together to give the greatest effect. While this means an excellent, high level of quality in all aspects of multimedia it also means that a single problem could theoretically cause untold errors. Associated Errors The most common error by some way is an incompatibility error. Applications, games, and other multimedia files are created using a specific version of DirectX, for example DirectX 9.0c. This means that your PC must be DirectX9.0c compatible or better. DirectX is usually backwards compatible so as long as you have a newer version of DirectX to the one you are attempting to use then you will be able to enjoy the contents of the file. Error messages will be displayed if you are using an incompatible version of DirectX. These errors may appear in different guises including messages stating that your PC was unable to find a particular DLL or SYS file. Fatal exception errors and an inability to access the media file you are attempting to view are by far the most common visible symptom of DirectX problems but most can be resolved very quickly and easily. Recommended Solution If you are experiencing DirectX errors then the very first, and usually only step you will need to take is to ensure you are running the latest version of DirectX. You can view, and even download, the latest version of this API from the official Microsoft DirectX website – http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-gb/xna/aa937781.aspx. In order to find out which version is currently installed on your system, and to run through various diagnostic checks to ensure all is working well with your DirectX installation you can open the DirectX Diagnostic tool. Click Start and then click Run. In the dialog box type dxdiag and click Enter. At the bottom of the first screen there is a field entitled DirectX Version, which tells you the version you currently have downloaded. On the Display, Sound, Music, and Network pages there is also the capability to check each of the different DirectX components to ensure that they are all working accurately. Any problems found in here can usually be identified and resolved by downloading and installing the latest updates.

I love RegCure. I was telling my sister
in law, how, since I downloaded your program, I have had little to no
problems with my computer. Everyday, about six times a day I used to receive
a message that said Virtual Memory is too Low. Now it's fine and my
computer runs faster too. Cyril S.
