Fatal Error? Here's What to do.
Description – A fatal error is an error that causes an application to freeze, hang, or completely shut down. It is highly likely that any unsaved data will be lost in the process of a fatal error. It is important to note the distinction between a fatal error, which affects applications and software programs, and a fatal exception error which effects the operating system as a whole. A fatal error is literally just that – one that can not be recovered. If the application does not have any further actions to take once the error occurs then you will typically experience a fatal error in the application. Fatal errors can also occur when attempting to install a new application on your system, although the reasons are very similar. The most common reasons for a fatal error are: Division by zero Insufficient privilege levels Invalid data access An attempt to perform an illegal instruction Associated Errors – The most common outcome is the display of a Windows fatal error message and the shutting down of the application. Sometimes it is possible that the application may freeze or hang rather than completely close down and no error message may be displayed in some instances. In all cases the application becomes unusable and it is common to lose all unsaved data associated with that application. Recommended Solution – There is no way of recovering the application and unsaved data. Regularly save files you are working on and create backup copies on a regular basis too. Restarting the application may be enough to ensure that the fatal error has cleared, but always try to take note of what you were doing when the error occurred because this may be the cause of the error. If you continue to receive a fatal error when running the same application then you should attempt to uninstall and then reinstall the application cleanly. Use the application uninstall feature, or the Windows Add/Remove feature in order to completely remove all traces of the program and then use the appropriate installer. Also ensure that you have checked the publisher's website for any downloads, patches, or fixes that may be available. Often, these are released in order to fix common bugs and problems. Windows updates may also relieve some problems that are known to be caused by a conflict between the operating system and particular applications.

I love RegCure. I was telling my sister
in law, how, since I downloaded your program, I have had little to no
problems with my computer. Everyday, about six times a day I used to receive
a message that said Virtual Memory is too Low. Now it's fine and my
computer runs faster too. Cyril S.
