Description – lsass.exe is a critical process required by the Windows operating system, but as is common for spyware and virus applications it has also been adopted by at least two threats that need to be removed from your machine. Recommended Solution – It is absolutely essential that you determine whether you have the genuine instance of lsass.exe or another, potentially harmful version. The best, safest, and most effective way to do this is to run antispyware and antivirus scans on your machine. You should run these manually because some malicious applications can prevent the resident protection and routine scans that you have set up on your security software.
