Scvhost.exe
Description – scvhost.exe is one of the main running processes belonging to a Trojan known as Agobot-S. This virus enables hackers and other unauthorized third parties to gain a high degree of access to infected computers. Once access has been gained hackers able to steal personal information such as software keys, personally identifiable information, banking information, usernames and passwords, and more. Once installed the Agobot-S worm will install within the system folder on your PC and will then proceed to add a registry entry that ensures the virus is run whenever you start your PC. As well as attacking your system it will attempt to spread to other computers sharing your network that have weak or no security. Associated Errors – Unauthorized access to and from your computer, the theft of personal information, and a reduction in system performance are all common attributes of this virus. The following registry entries are added: HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices\Config Loader = scvhost.exe HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\Config Loader = scvhost.exe and you will see an active process with the name scvhost.exe. It is extremely important to differentiate between this and the essential Windows process with the similar name svchost.exe (svc rather than scv). Agobot-S uses this similarly named process in order to attempt to mislead users into believing the process is a genuine one that should be left to run on their system. Recommended Solution – scvhost.exe should under no circumstances be left to run on your computer. It belongs to the Agobot-S worm, which poses a serious security threat. Use antivirus and antispyware software with the latest database downloads to detect and remove all aspects of this threat.

I love RegCure. I was telling my sister
in law, how, since I downloaded your program, I have had little to no
problems with my computer. Everyday, about six times a day I used to receive
a message that said Virtual Memory is too Low. Now it's fine and my
computer runs faster too. Cyril S.
