Do I Need To Be Logged On As Administrator To Install ParetoLogic Spam Controls?
Spam Controls
Spam Controls is an anti spam application from ParetoLogic that also protects against the possible threat of phishing emails. Spam can become almost uncontrollable if left to its devices. Spammers use automated software that collects email addresses from web pages and other online sites, and they may also purchase emailing lists from websites that collect email legitimately or otherwise.
Preventing Phishing Email Attacks
Phishing emails are used to lure recipients into divulging personal information such as bank account information or log on details for private websites. Both can be a pest and may cause the loss or theft of personal information. Digital theft has become a major crime and Internet users should attempt to do everything possible to prevent themselves from becoming victims.
ParetoLogic Spam Controls works in the background of your computer and scans emails in real time. As soon as you receive new email to either Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express, Spam Controls will scan all the headers of the email to determine whether it is spam or a possible phishing threat. If it is found to contain either element it will be sent to the PL Spam Controls folder.
ParetoLogic Spam Controls Versions
As well as a full license version that scans emails and takes action there is also a free trial version of the software available. The free trial is available for thirty days and enables users to scan any email they receive. In order to take advantage of either the free trial or to download the software and purchase a license key users should visit the ParetoLogic website by following this link to the appropriate page - http://www.paretologic.com/products/spamcontrols/index.aspx
