Malwarewipe is a form of spyware that infects computers without the computer user's knowledge. Removal of this application is possible manually and with legitimate software applications

Malwarewipe is also a form of adware that attempts to tease the computer owner into purchasing the full scale program through a series of false messages.

Malwarewipe will falsely inform computer owners that they have spyware, Malware, and/or viruses that will do inordinate amounts of harm to their computer unless they purchase a full version of Malwarewipe.

Typically, the threats will suggest that the security and privacy of the computer and the personal data stored on it has been compromised. The threats are aggressive in nature and use very deceptive means to trick computer users by targeting their fear of unwarranted and unwanted access to their personal data. The messages will indicate that the only way to remove the threats is to purchase, install, and use the Malwarewipe program.

Malwarewipe, commonly packaged with pirated websites or adult sites, is installed on computers without consent or notice. It poses a moderate level security risk to the infected computer. Additionally, unwanted advertising may be generated and displayed on the computer’s desktop.

Malwarewipe actually tracks the user’s internet or browser habits and uses them to send targeted messages specific to visited website categories. Furthermore, Malwarewipe can be configured to begin its start up upon the start up of the computer. Additionally, it is possible that Malwarewipe will initiate the installation of other undesirable applications.

It is essential that Malwarewipe be removed from your computer as soon as possible.

Various Trojans, that are in fact annoying and insidious, use the program to the detriment of the computer.

Traces of the file should be evident as:
%PROGRAM_files%\Malwarewipe\Malwarewipe.exe
%PROGRAM_files%\Malwarewipe\msvcp71.dll
mw_install.exe

Malwarewipe can hijack your browser and its home page and redirect it to another website. Rogue software applications, such as Malwarewipe, will cause your computer to perform sluggishly. It clogs your bandwidth for your Internet connection. It can create new desktop icons or shortcuts. Annoying pop ups are also generated by Malwarewipe, further disrupting your time on your computer.

The best defense against Malwarewipe is to completely uninstall and delete all processes, DLL files, registry keys, and any other DLL files, files from your computer.

The following instructions can be used to manually remove Malwarewipe from your computer.

Follow these steps if your operating system is Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows Me, Windows 2000, or Windows XP in the classic view:

  • Click the start located in the lower left corner of your screen.

  • Click on settings.

  • Click on control panel.

  • Now double click on the add/remove programs icon in the box.

  • Next, select the entry for Malwarewipe.

  • You will now need to click the add/remove button. If you do not have this button, click the change/remove button.

  • Follow the prompts that appear in order to complete the removal process.

For the operating system Windows XP in the default view, follow all of the above steps with the exception of click on settings. This will not be present on your menu and therefore, you will go directly from start to control panel.

It may be necessary to reboot your computer and run through the above process again. If no sign of Malwarewipe is present when you open the list of installed programs, then you have achieved success.

However, if it is still present, then these criminals may have updated and or further hidden their malicious dll or exe files . If it is not deleted, then you may have to take additional measures, such as the purchase of a legitimate spyware removal tool.
